Garnishees from any/all sources are limited to a maximum of 50% of your takehome pay if you are an employee. If you are self-employed they may garnishee 100% of your receivables.

The typical garnishee in Ontario is either 20 or 30% of your pay.

You may stop a garnishee by paying off the debt, filing a consumer proposal or by filing bankruptcy, unless the garnishee is for support, only the Family Court may stop those…
