If I do claim bankruptcy can the CMHS come after me once the years have passed. The CMHS is threating me not to dare claim bankruptsy because they will make a case against me that once the years are done they can still come after me. Is that true?

The only way any creditor can “come after you” once your bankruptcy is complete is for the creditor to apply to the Court and “prove” that original debt was the result of some form of misrepresentation or fraud. If they can prove that then the debt will survive your bankruptcy.

Otherwise, the person you have been talking to at CMHC is just trying to scare you with misinformation.
