cost of consumer proposal

i am going to do a consumer proposal the trustee says it costs 1,500 and then 20 percent of what I owe and this cost is compiled in the monthly payemnt…Is this the usual cost? anyone know a good trustee in Vancouver?

The information you have been given is correct, the cost to file a consumer proposal is set by the legislation and includes two one time draws of $750.00 and then 20% of what is distributed to creditors. If you are in the Vancouver area I would recommend Sands & Associates.
