Trustee has not closed my file

I was discharged in March 2010, however, the trustee has not closed my file/advised cra. How long does it normally take for the trustee to complete post-bankruptcy paperwork and close the file?

A licensed trustee said...

Trustees don’t get paid until they close your file so we are usually motivated to close them as quickly as we can. You need to call your trustee and ask what is causing the delay. If their explanation doesn’t sound reasonable then you may want to contact the Office of the Superintendent of Bankruptcy and ask them to look into the delay for you.
