Lien
April 15th, 2011 by Questions
What can a person do when a lien has been placed against your principal residence for items which were part of the bankruptcy? Land titles will not remove the lien without an order from a judge or permission from the creditors – I am sure the creditors would not be willing to release their interest, although I don’t think they technically have a claim.

You will need to talk to a lawyer. If this lien is simply related to one of the creditors in your bankruptcy, then it is a very simple process for the lawyer to conduct as there is no actaul debt associated with the lien as that would have been cleared when you were discharged from the bankruptcy.
