power of attorney as a discharged bankrupt

March 26th, 2011 by Questions

I was issued an absolute discharge in 2007. Will there be a problem for my husband to assign me as a power of attorney right now to handle his affairs should something happen to him till I am clear of the bankruptcy in 2013?

If you have been Absolutely Discharged then there is no reason why the bankruptcy will interfere with you having/becoming your spouse’s Power of Attorney.
