If I have an inheartence coming to me and it is sent after I am discarged do I have to give it to the trustee or can I keep it

I am sorry to break this to you, but you are required by law to inform your trustee that you have been named in a will and are expecting an inheritance. Your trustee will then contact the Executor of the Will and inform them that any money you may be entitled to is to be sent to your trustee for the benefit of your creditors. It doesn’t matter how long it takes to disburse the money from the will – the critical event was the death of whomever named you as a beneficiary. If they die during your bankruptcy then your inheritance will go to your creditors…
