Monthly Tax Payments
June 7th, 2010 by Questions
Monthly Surplus Income Question:
Self-employed here and wondering when I would have to make a monthly tax payment to CRA in order to claim it
on my Monthly Surplus Income Statement which is due by the 10th
of each month
{ Do I have to make the payment by no later than this 10th day of the month to include it in my monthly statement??? }

Keep this simple – if you haven’t paid the tax (ie made the instalment to CRA) then you may NOT claim it as a deduction. If your report is due by the 10th then you have to makje the payment before you submit the report in order to claimm it (as your trustee will require proof that you actually made the payment).
