continual phonecalls 2 months after bankruptcy has been filed
January 19th, 2010 by Questions
One of the 5 major banks continues to call with a recorded announcement 2-5 time daily. My trustee has assured me that the bank has been informed and has the package. The trustee has also told me that they have called this particular bank. I need to know the actual law that I can quote to the person calling the next time I respond to one of these recorded announcements.

The problem is some of the major institutions are very slow at distributing the informaiton internally. So, when receiving phone calls after the filing of a bankruptcy what you need to do is to answer the phone and say the following:
1. You are currently in bankruptcy;
2. Your trustee has sent all the proper notification;
3. There is a Stay of Proceedings in place that prevents you from being able to discuss things with this creditors; and
4. Provide them with the name and contact information of your trustee.
