fraud

My ex husband and I both filed bankrupt and we had a newer vehicle that my ex signed over to his fathers name and had his father pay off the loan before we filed. So now he is in possesion of this vehicle and is paying his father back instead of the bank. Was wondering if this is considered fraud as I am sure it is but my ex tells me no and to go ahead and report it. Thank you

A licensed trustee said...

Based on what yopu’ve written, there shouldn’t be any problems with what you (or your spouse) have done. Discuss thsi with your trustee, but unless there’s something you’re not telling me, you shouldn’t have to worry about the car.
