Bondable, credit report still being updated

September 10th, 2009 by Questions

I am applying for a job in which I need to be bondable. I am a recently discharged first time bankrupt, but my credit report is still in the process of being updated. (They told me it could take up to 30 days to process). Am I still bondable? I have the discharge papers to offer my perspective employer as proof of bankruptcy. I have already had one job offer rescinded due to my credit status, and it`s quite disheartening.

Your discharge is what makes you bondable again – not your credit report. Worst case scenario: take a copy of your discharge papers to the potential employer and ask them to check with their bonding agency.
