Ways to repair credit and get a mortgage

hi i was wondering i havee a secured credit card and so does my wife they are in good standings but the limit is only 500 each .what i wanted to know is if i use them wisely will this help with my credit repair . we want to buy a house and we have been discharged since Jan 09. the broker said you need a loan of 1500 or more before they will consider you , do you have any other tips that i can use to get my credit back and running the thing is my credit was excellent before i went bankrupt i had a lot of r1 rating on my credit report and my car loan of 16000 is also in good standings . i realize that i need to wait 2 years so am i on the right track or could i be doing more thansk

While this takes time, with a little effort you will find that by doing this you will successfully repair your credit and qualify for a mortgage.
