impact of filing bankruptcy in canada on taxes
March 13th, 2009 by Questions
I have recently been discharged from bankruptcy. I am now required to have the Licensed Insolvency Trustees prepare my taxes. If my taxes show a return, do I receive this money or do they?

This partially depends on what return is being prepared. But in normal circumstances you will loose refunds from the year of bankruptcy and all previous years. So if you filed bankruptcy in 2008 you will likely loose refunds that pertain to that year.
