reassessment for disability amount pre bancruptcy

February 23rd, 2009 by Questions

We are in the process of a reassessment for the 1998 to 2007 tax years, to allow the disability amount. The adjustments for the 1998 to 2006 pre bankcruptcy are being processed and the result will be sent to our trustee. Will the whole credit amount be distributed among the creditors, or is a surplus amount calculated where the creditors recieve some, and will we be allowed to keep some of the credit amount?

You should discuss this with your trustee, but likely the entire amount will be lost and distributed among your creditors.
