Proposal Problems & Divorce
December 11th, 2008 by Questions
I have been paying on a consumer proposal for two 2 and a half years. I owe around $5000 left, the first 2 creditors have been receiving amounts, the third hasn`t received any due to my ex-wife who is making payments in full on the joint loan that is owed. As long as she is paying they aren`t taking any money from me. Where is the money I`m paying going to go? The other creditors have already been paid in full through the proposal.

The monies paid into a consumer proposal are used to pay the trustee’s fees and the creditors. If your concerned about where the money is going I suggest you ask your trustee for an explanation.
