Bankruptcy

November 24th, 2008 by Questions

I have declared bankruptcy twice in my life
(Two divorces)
I was discharged from the last one just over 2 years ago and am in debt again.
Can I file again?

Thank you

You are permitted to file again, but realistically it is very difficult to obtain a discharge after a third bankruptcy. As a result we often suggest people strongly consider a consumer proposal, but you really need to discuss these things with a local trustee due to the previous two bankruptcies.
