apply for a mortgage after bankruptcy
August 25th, 2008 by Questions
I declared bankruptcy 12 years ago, and I have rebuilt my credit. I am going to apply for a mortgage. If I go back to the financial institution that I used before my bankruptcy could this affect my application.

I typically suggest you start with an institution you didn’t owe money to, as institutions that had to write off some of your debt may be less cooperative.
