What happens when I sell my house if already discharged but still showing on my credit report?

February 10th, 2008 by Questions

I am going to retire this year and hope to sell my house and land. I was given an automatic discharge 2 years ago so the bankruptcy still shows on my credit report. Will the profit I make on the sale of the house and land be in jeopardy as far as I go? Will anyone be able to take this profit? I need it for my retirement.
Does the automatic discharge mean that I am completely finished with the whole bankruptcy and this money will be available to me?
Thank you for your answers!

, A licensed trustee said:

If you have been discharged and your trustee did not register on title for your house then you should be able to sell it and retain the proceeds (money). Beofre you try and list the property, ask a lawyer to run a title search for you to see if anything has been registered.
