I have seen ads in the paper that tell people about your bankruptcy, will that happen to me? I am trying to start a home business and that wouldn`t be good.

There are very few circumstances where notice must be published in the paper and I have no reason to expect you would fall into this category.

However, when you are in bankruptcy one of the duties you need to be aware of is that when you engage in buiness you are legally required to disclose to all persons you are transacting business with that you are in bankruptcy. It is as a result of this we find a great number of self empolyed people choose to file a proposal over a bankrutpcy.

For now the best thing for you to do is to contact a local trustee and have them review how a bankruptcy and a proposal will impact this home business you are involved with and toghether you will be able to find the best way to structure things so as to have the smallest amount of impact on that business.
