bank account
April 27th, 2011 by Questions
I have my pay directly deposited into my bank account. There is no credit card attached to the bank where I have my bank account. Do I still need to close this account and open another before I declare bankruptcy?
What about if I do a consumer proposal, do they freeze any bank accounts in that situation?
Thanks for your help. I have done a ton of research on bankruptcy and other alternatives, this site is by far the best one out there!!

The only times you need to open a new account is if you owe money to your current institution, or have a large number of direct payments set up with the creditors who will be involved in the bankruptcy or consumer proposal.
