letter from credit card’s lawyer

recently I got a letter from a lawyer who represent for the credit card and told me I should pay off all amount otherwise will take me in court , I have been paying the visa but because I was behind before the visa said to me its not in our hand you have to deal with our legal team , i still want to pay off but just not in one big payment , can I still process in consumer proposal ?

Yes you can. In fact, you may file a consumer proposal or bankruptcy even after someone has taken you to Court and has a Court Order forcing you to pay.
