joint account
August 14th, 2011 by Questions
I am joint on my moms bank account at TD. This was done so I could do her banking if she needed me to. If I go through with a consumer proposal or debt settlement and two of my debts are a TdDvisa and TD LOC. can they touch her account or try to count her income as mine. We do not live together. I have my own home.

The safest thing to do is take your name off the account BEFORE you file. Leaglly TD shouldn’t be able to do anything with/to the joint account, but computers do whatever they are told and TD might do something to the account due to an input error. Be safe – take your name off the account.
