Absolute Discharge

September 16th, 2009 by Questions

I`m a second time bankrupt. I`ve been meeting all of my obligations. What are my chances of getting an absolute discharge in Court? On average how long does a court case last?

As a second time bankrupt you will NOT receive an Absolute Order of Discharge at your hearing. If you have completed all of your duties then you should receive a Suspendd Order of Discharge. Depending on how long ago your first bankruptcy was completed and which Court in Ontario is hearing your case, your suspension may last as little as 3 months or as long as 18 months (or longer in extreme cases).
