My son in law declared bankruptcy in july 2012. My daughter opposed the discharge after it was discovered he lied about what he owed in support and about a cash settlement he was getting. When can we
expect the court proceedings to take place?

A licensed trustee said...

The best thing for you to do is call your son-in-law’s trustee and ask them.

The Court hearing will be booked after either 9 or 21 months depending on your son-in-law’s income. When it actually gets scheduled depends on which Court he must appear in – if it is the Toronto Court there me quite a long delay…
