credit card debt

i got myself in debt with credit cards i am married and have no job or income besides child tax credit of 87 dollars a month. My husband makes all the money and is very angry with me for credit card debt i put myself in. I want to know if i can go bankrupt on my credit cards and it not effect my husband and his credit or does it also affect him?

Yes, you will be able to file for bankruptcy with very little impact on your spouse. There are a few considerations, but we don’t have enough information about your circimstances for us to discuss thi here. My recomendation is that you contact a local trustee in your area.
