If my father passed away owing lots of money, would his children/wife be responsible for outstanding debts?

A licensed trustee said...

ONly if they were joiuntly responsible for the debts – if anyone else co-signed or co-borrowed any of the deceased’s debt then those persons will be held 100% responsible. If no one co-signed then only the deceased’s estate can be held liable.
