Unemployment Debt

I am being told that i owe a very large sum to unemployment for a false claim, i have appealed the claim and they have denied it, i am trying to appeal again. I am not working at the moment and i do not have a single penny that i can use to pay them with, what can i do? Can i declare bankrupcy?

A licensed trustee said...

Bankruptcy does not clean up debts that were incurred as a result of misrepresentation. If you submitted a false claim then bankruptcy will not clear up this debt.
