Bankruptcy info questions
Hello, I just would like to ask that what is the difference between if I file the bankruptcy myself or I get a trustee to file the bankruptcy ?? Also, is there any fee to file the bankruptcy through the trustee and how much??? Thank you very much

I am sorry, but you cannot file bankruptcy by or for yourself. Only a licenced trustee in bankruptcy may file an assignment in bankruptcy for you. It will likely cost you a minimum of $1800, but it may cost a fair bit more, depending on the things you own and your household income (the more you earn the more it costs to file for bankruptcy).
When a person files for bankruptcy they assign (sign over) the things that thye own to a trustee for the benefit of their creditors (the people they owe). Since you cannot sign things over to yourself, you must use a trustee…
