No, the day a consumer proposal is put in place there is an immediate Stay of Proceedings that is in effect. This is essentially federal legislation that stipulates your unsecured creditors are not able to collect any money from you, charge any interest or seize any funds.

If you are already in a consumer proposal and this has happened it is likely due to the internal delay it takes at the bank to notify all divisions and departments. So you should talk to your trustee.
