When you file a bankruptcy you automatically lose any windfalls that you become subject to before or during the actual bankruptcy. This would include any inheritance. So you must disclose the presence of this inheritance to your trustee, then the monies will be directed to your trustee and be used to create a distribution or dividend that would go out to your creditors.
