spouse
If I am recently married but have a marriage contract that stipulates no involvement with my partners money, and I have significant debt, can I declare bankruptcy without negatively affecting my spouse. I should clarify that my spouse owns a house and is in healthy financial position.

You can almost always file for bankruptcy with little or no impact to your spouse. This can be complicated if you have joint debts or joint assets, but if everything has been separate since before the two of you were married, then in most instances you won’t have any problems.
