My father is considering Personal Bankrupcy….he is a widow, and has no assets other than the trailer he lives in, in the summer…1980 trailer, and the trailer he lives in, in the winter in Florida. He does not owe back taxes but owes on credit cards (11 cards- average of apprx. $15000. each) He has a leased vehicle that he has 3 years left on…his income from CPP and death benefit is apprx. 1300. and that is all he has. Can you tell me will they take the trailers he has been living in. This is his 2nd personal bankrupcy….this happened will the closure of his business 12 years ago. I need some information., please

New Brunswick does not have any exemptions for a residence / trailer. So that means if your father files for bankruptcy the trailers would be considered property that vests in the trustee and the value of them must be realized on for the general benefit of the creditors.
