Bankruptcy Costs

I signed a form with my trustee that outlined my payments as $900.00 plus $150.00 for court costs which I paid in full. Now they tell me that the government rules say I must pay almost $1800.00. I went bankrupt in September of 2008. I finally have a court date on Sept 14 th just 5 days before 3 years… Please tell me if this is allowed that they can change the amount after I have signed it ??

Likely you would have also signed off that if you had surplus income obligation, this is if you make more money than the threshold that is set by the Superintendent of Bankruptcy, then your cost would go up. So if your average income was higher than the allowable amount then yes, this change is not only allowed, but necessary.11
