My soon to be ex is trying to file bankruptcy to get his name off the mortgage. I live in the house with our 2 children, I have been paying the mortgage. We bought the house with my inheritance. Will the house be effected?

A licensed trustee said...

Whether or not the house may be affected depends on whose name(s) are on title. If you own it joint and sverally and your ex files for bankruptcy then there may be issues. Your best bnet is to speak to a family law expert (lawyer) and then to a trustee.
