Joint followed by individual proposa

I would like to pursue a joint proposal. my counselor suggest I and my wife perform individual proposal. Is it possible to first present a joint proposal to our creditors and still have the option to present individual proposals if the joint is not accepted

A licensed trustee said...

You cannot file a second consumer proposal that includes the same debts without Court approval. If there is some reason to think that a joint proposal won’t be approved then you’d better filed individually.

Review this is detail with whatever trustee you choose BEFORE you file.
