Student Loans with the Government

I have a student loan and want to file bankruptcy, I have had the loan for at least 12 years, but now I am getting letters from the government can I still include these loans even if now they letters are coming from the Govt

There are very specific rules about student loans and when they can be cleared by the filing of a bankruptcy.

The general rule is 7 years. As long as you haven’t attended school in the 7 years immediately preceding the filing of the bankruptcy then your student loans can be cleared.
