Can I file bankruptcy myself without trustee?

No you cannot. Think it through – if you could do this yourself then you’d be signing your debts over to yourself. It just doesn’t work.
Further, you can’t use just anyone as your trustee – they must be licenced by the federal goverment. Currently there are about 1,000 licenced trustees in Canada (about half deal with the public).
