Will spouse files will I lose my home?

How will my mortgage be affected if I am joint with my spouse and they wish to file a consumer proposal? Will the bank be able to close our mortgage, or can I be forced to sell my home?

The filing of a consumer proposal in and of itself shouldn’t have any impact on the joint mortgage. As long as you have had a consistent payment history with the mortgage then the consumer proposal really shouldn’t change things.
