How old before you can file?

How old do you have to be before you can claim bankruptcy? There is a $14,000 settlement against me and I`am 17 years old. The judgement is in place for 20 years. Can I file for bankruptcy?

If you are old enough in Nova Scotia to enter into a contract and to be sued for failure to pay then you are old enough to file for bankruptcy. Use the links or your phone book to find a local firm to assist you.
