Changes to Bankruptcy Laws

You mentioned that some changes to bankruptcy laws are coming in September. What are those changes and would it be beneficial to file now or wait until these changes come into effect?

You are correct that the changes will be implemented on September 18, 2009 and because there are a wide variety of changes so it is difficult to tell you whether you are best to file now or to wait. The only way to know is to contact a local trustee and have him review things in more detail and they will be able to advise you whether you are best to wait or to file now.
