Question

My ex pays me child support. My daughter left home he wants child support stopped, I`m agreeable to this. However he feels since she left in March and its now 6 months later I should have to owe him $6000 if the courts agree to this can this be claimed in bankruptcy as all monies come thru the FRO………in other words they would take my income from spousal support $980 per month until all was paid back to him and by that time he will be filing to stop spousal……lawyers courts I can`t afford this…….

Child support is one of the debts that a bankruptcy is unable to assist with as it is adebt that is not released by bankruptcy. Unfortunately the only way to deal with this is either directly with your ex or with legal council. Now you could explore legal aid or one of the other subsidized services, but I don’t think the filing of a bankruptcy will do much for you unless you have other debts that are causing you problems.
