school and student loans

I have student loan debt from 10 years ago and have defaulted on that loan. I have been to school since, funded by service canada, and am returning September 2009 on my own finances. How does this work with the 7 years out of school to file for bankruptcy? Does it relate to the the original time I attended 10 years ago and got the student loan?

I am sorry, but the 7 year clock probably starts when you finish what ever studinges you are starting this fall.

Check with the National Student Loan Centre for something called you “end of study date” – that’s when the 7 year clock starts.
