Collection agency harrassment

We have a trustee … we have filed bankruptcy …. collection agency will not stop calling … Statement of Affairs has been issued …trustee says do not answer the phone … calls will not stop …what do we do to gain some peace ?

Have you answered the phone, explained that you have filed for bankruptcyand legally the are not supposed to be calling you (assuming they are an unsecured creditor) and provided them with your trustee’s name and phone number? If not do so, if they continue calling ask for their fax number and have your trustee fax them copies of the bankruptcy documents and a copy of the stay of proceeding.
