How does this work
When I got my credit card I only wanted a $1000 – $2000 limit. When it came in the mail…the amount was $9000. Do I have any rights considering I did not want this credit limit….and personally I don`t know how I got so much. I racked up the credit card, my ex-husband wasn`t paying me support, things started to fall apart. Now I owe this amount. If I declare bankruptcy do I lose my house/vehicle etc.

I am sorry, but if you only wanted a $1,000 limit you should have called the credit card company and asked them to reduce it. Further, just because you had a $9,000 limit doesn’t mean you had to use it. By using the card to the limit you are responsible for repaying the debt.
In regards to your house and vehicle, you should contact a trustee in your area to discuss how bankruptcy works and how it will affect you.
