Typically a the filing of a bankruptcy doesn’t have an impact on very many occupations. However, sometimes certain professional associations have problems with you continuing to practice while someone is in bankruptcy (e.g. CGA). While I am not sure what capacity you are looking at in the insurance field, the best thing to do is to contact their governing body to confirm that a bankruptcy would not prevent you from being hired in the specific capacity you are looking at.
