Pension

I have a pension that I will be investing with a bank very shortly, since I can`t use these funds can I still declare bankruptcy and not lose any of my pension, or can I borrow against it to pay off some of my debt. Thanking you in advance for your answer.

A licensed trustee said...

Whether or not you’ll lose any of your pension money depends on the source of the funds in the first place, the amount deposited in the last 12 mon ths and some other factors. In MOST cases pension moneies are not affected when a person files for bankruptcy.
