student loans

Once your loan has been sent to a collection accency, is it still considered a student loan? I was just wondering in case i had to file for bankruptcy? Thank you

Yes, once a student loan goes into collections it remains a student loan. The same is true if the lender takes you to Court and obtains a judgement against you – if it started out as a student loan it retains the protections of a student loan….
