Yes you may file for bankruptcy yourself – your spouse doe not need to file just because you are going to. Just remember that once you file, any joint debts yuo have with your husband will become his responsibility (ie he will be required to make the payments on those debts).

The cost of filing for bankruptcy depends on the numbner of people living in your household and the entire household income. The higher the income the more expensive bankruptcy becomes.
