This is a difficult situation. The biggest problem is the debt can be erased by filing a bankruptcy, but I have heard rumblings that the provincial department of motor vehicles will withhold your drivers license. This is something you should contact a local trustee (i.e. a trustee who operates out of BC) as they would be more familiar with the way ICBC debts are currently being treated.
