personal bankruptcy and surplus income

I have filed personal bankruptcy and I have surplus income. I have spent some of it. Without realizing it. Over 2000.00 Can I get a loan from a relative to pay this back or how do I approach this.

I think you should go and speak to your trustee – my guess is they will set up a monthly payment plan to deal with the surplus obligation.

If you can borrow from a family member you certainly have the right to, but I’m not sure that’s any better than making monthly payments to your trustee. The idea is to stay out of debt, not to borrow to pay bills (which is whay your surplus income obligation is).
